To obtain temporary residency (4 years)
Fill out the Mexican Embassy form in Montreal and verify whether you are eligible for immigrant status. A fee of 85 Canadian dollars is payable to the embassy.
After the visa is issued
Once the visa is issued, you will have 30 days to go to the National Immigration Institute in Mexico. First year of temporary residency: 11,400 MX pesos in immigration fees.
Second to fourth year
Second, third, and fourth year of temporary residency: 21,143 MX pesos in immigration fees.
Permanent residency
